Best Games For One-Handed Play
Not every good mobile game is commute-friendly. Some demand two thumbs and full attention, which is useless when you're standing on a packed tram gripping a rail. So I keep a small rotation of one-handed games ready.
Big Bass Studio is top of that list. The whole thing is swipes and taps you can do with a thumb, and it works offline, so a signal dropout doesn't kill your session. It's my go-to for the underground stretch of my ride.
Neon Drift Circuit sneaks onto this list too, since it only needs two touch zones. Short races fit the gaps between stops perfectly, and the ghost mode gives you a quick goal.
The rule I use: if a game needs a tutorial screen just to explain the controls, it's probably not a one-hander. The best commute games you can play half-asleep, which is exactly the state most of us are in.
